CLARITY -Every diamond is unique, each bearing natures fingerprints; other minerals, dry cracks with liquid or gaseous inclusions. The less visible inclusions the more rare the stone.

CARAT WEIGHT -Diamonds are sized by Carat Weight. 1 Carat = 100 points. A diamond is priced on a per carat basis according to weight and size. Rarity increases with size and a 1 Carat diamond will cost more than twice the price of a 1/2 Carat diamond.
